About Me
.
Thanks for dropping in! Let me tell you a bit about myself…
I was born in Peterborough, Ontario - a beautiful area… and grew up in the kind of neighborhood where you didn’t lock your doors and everyone knew each other. I was an avid church-goer from a very early age, and spent all of my time immersed in a variety of activities: gymnastics, floor hockey, baseball, basketball, volleyball, art and guitar.
I was also a huge fan of books - I would read just about anything I could get my hands on! I think that this helped to develop an insatiable curiosity about the world at a very young age.
As my skills improved, my focus was in the arts - I love to create things, mainly paintings. I won several awards throughout my school years, and have continued to dabble through the years as the spirit moves me. Here are two of my latest paintings:

(updated - two more!!)

I was fortunate to start my career at a very young age in advertising, working for a local shopper. I loved the work, as I was able to create effective ads for my clients, develop marketing strategies and learn effective sales techniques from seasoned veterans. After the shopper was sold and dismantled, I went to work for a local marketing firm for a while, then was offered a position as Director of Marketing for a national magazine based in Toronto, Ontario.
While the work was challenging, I missed the creative side of the business, and decided to take on an advertising position at a large newspaper chain. In a very short time, I was head of my department, and increased sales from 40k to 850k in one year. As a result, I won several awards and worked there for years.
In my efforts to expand my department and introduce new, innovative ideas, I turned to the internet for inspiration - and fell in love with the unlimited potential I could see - even way back in the mid-90’s! Unfortunately, management squashed any attempts to utilize this new, valuable tool and I could see my time there coming to an end.
But when one door closes, inevitably a window opens!
I purchased a computer and never looked back. I devoured everything I could find on business, and made amateur mistakes for a long time. But even my mistakes were learning experiences - and I used every bit of knowledge I could find to build an online business.
While building a solid reputation as a web designer, I also worked full-time as the Marketing Director for a Toronto-based software reseller. Although delighted to finally use my skills for marketing online, the product was of little interest to me, and I worked hard to get my own business running to make my own way.
After leaving that company to work full-time on my internet business, family concerns kept me from realizing my own dreams for a time… my work took a back seat for almost a year, and as a result, I was forced to begin almost from scratch to build my client base again! I did a lot of freelance work, most of it referrals from happy customers, but I found myself stressed out by an overload of work and deadlines.
That’s not what I wanted.
I went searching for a way to make money online without those types of issues. I read every sales page, ebook, report… I purchased thousands of dollars worth of software and other products. And slowly but surely I began to see how internet marketing could work for me!!
I went on to create websites in several niches… I have membership sites and adsense sites… mini-sites and software… affiliate sites and portals… and I am happy to say that I have developed a system to create a passive, residual income stream that will continue for years.
Now, I continue to duplicate what works for me - and teach others to do the same.
If you are looking for a magic product that will pour money into your bank accounts, I can honestly tell you that if there was one, I WOULD HAVE FOUND IT! There isn’t. But there are systems that can put you on the path to making a very comfortable living with a bit of work and persistence!
If that is what you hope for - to quit your 9-5 job and work for yourself, making enough money to afford your mortgage, car payments and family vacations, then sign up for my newsletter, and follow my lead!
Here’s wishing you as much success and happiness as I have found.
